Curtis Gidding has been selling stamps since 1978. I was an avid stamp collector as a child and until I entered college. I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from Rose Hulman in Terre Haute, Indiana and enjoyed a 35 year career in sales and marketing of specialty chemicals. From 1978, I sold stamps by mail order and shows as a part time venture. In 1996, I started selling on the internet and became a full-time dealer in 2002. I now have the privelege of an activity which I enjoy and always have wanted to do during my lifetime.
I am a 25-year member of the American Philatelic Society and a member of the American Stamp Dealer’s Association, Germany Philatelic Society, Great Britain Collector’s Club, Europa Study Unit and Vatican Philatelic Society. I have written articles for Brookman Times, Global Stamp News, and The American Philatelist. I have also done some philatelic exhibiting during the early 1980's.
For many years, I specialized in stamps of the British Commonwealth. Today, I am placing emphasis on European Stamps and stamps of Great Britain and British Europe. However, you will find a broad range of stamps in the Curtis Gidding Stamp Store. I have also developed a love for philatelic literature and am stocking many titles.
The one thing that I have learned during these years of selling stamps is that The Customer Comes First! It gives me extreme pleasure to help collectors build their collections with material that I have provided. I always ship material upon receipt of payment within 36 hours.
